Golf Brevard Board of Directors Meeting April 29

The next meeting of the Board of Directors of Golf Brevard, Inc., will be held at The Habitat Golf Course, in Valkaria, FL, at 3 p.m. on Tuesday April 29th.

The agenda for the meeting is as follows:

Call to order: The meeting will be called to order at 3 p.m. by Golf Brevard Chair Stephen Proctor

Minutes: Review of the minutes of last month’s board meeting, and provided there are no corrections or objections, a vote to approve the minutes as written and add them to the record of the activities of the Golf Brevard Board.

Director’s Report: General Manager and Director of Golf, Mike Yurigan, will report to the board on the following matters:

  • Rounds and revenue at The Habitat Golf Course

  • Rounds and revenue at Spessard Holland Golf Course

  • Agronomy activities and/or concerns at The Habitat Golf Course

  • Agronomy activities and/or concerns at Spessard Holland Golf Course

  • Maintenance efforts and/or issues at The Habitat Golf Course

  • Maintenance efforts and/or issue at Spessard Holland Golf Course

Any additional matters the Director of Golf wishes to bring to the attention of the Board, or on which he wishes to obtain the counsel of its members.

Finance Committee Report: The two leaders of the Board’s Finance Committee, members Bill Crudo and Jim Roberts, will review financial performance for the month of June, including:

  • Profit or Loss for the month at The Habitat Golf Course

  • Profit or Loss for the month at Spessard Holland Golf Course

  • Profit or loss year-to-date for Golf Brevard as a whole

  • Cash on hand at the end of the month

Other Business: Board Chair Stephen Proctor will invite Mary Ellen Donner, Director of Recreation and Parks, to convey any news for the Director of Golf or the Board from the county government or the county commissioners.

The Chair will also invite members of the board to bring up any issues that they believe ought to be brought to the attention of the board or the Director of Golf

Adjournment: The meeting will be adjourned at 4 p.m., or earlier if business is concluded.

Sidewalk Sale at Spessard & Habitat

Dear Golfers,

Please join us at The Habitat and Spessard Holland for our sidewalk sale on April 3rd and 4th, both golf courses will have great deals.  The sale is to thanks each and very one of you for your continued support of Golf Brevard Inc.

On Friday at both courses from 11:00am to 2:00pm we will be grilling out with $2.00 hot dogs and $2:00 draft beer, hamburgers for $4.00 bucks, and dollar soft drinks!

At 2:00 pm at The Habitat range we will have a free clinic to those who would like to come and hopefully learn a few things about the golf swing and your equipment.  Whether you’re a social golf or serious golfers we will have lots of fun and a few special treats you won’t want to miss. The entire professional staff will be at the clinic to share some great stories and some great advice.  Please bring your clubs if you would like.  The clinic will be from 2:00 to 3:00 pm.

Hope to see you at the courses, if we don’t have your size or what you’re looking for, please ask the staff and they will be happy to help!
